The 2013 Paisley Vision 10k Race and 3k Fun Race took place on Sunday, 25th August, in brilliant sunshine and high temperatures - great for the spectators, not so good for the record amount of runners taking part in the two race. Almost 1500 runners took part in the main 10k race, which was also the Scottish Athletic West District 10k Road Race Championship.
Kilbarchan AAC once again provided both Gents and Ladies winners, Callum Hawkins leading the men home in a time of 30min 40 sec. with Paul Sorrie and Lachlan Oates of Shettleston Garriers in second and third places. Hayley Haining came first in the Ladies race in a time of 34min 27sec with last year’s winner Gemma Rankin, also of Kilbarchan AAC, in second place and Garscube Harriers Lesley Chisholm in third place.
